Bonding

Bonding is the artistic placement of a tooth-colored plastic material to front teeth to enhance their color, shape or length. You can have one tooth re-created with bonding, or we can transform your entire smile! And the effects are not merely cosmeti c. Bonding protects your teeth from additional wear and damage.

Bonding may be the perfect option for you if you have:

  • Spaces between your teeth
  • Small or misshapen teeth
  • Teeth that have darkened or discolored

The bonding process

Bonding can usually be completed in one appointment. The first thing we will do is carefully select the tooth-colored bonding material, called composite resin, to match the color of your own teeth. Next, we lightly reduce your teeth with the dental ha n dpiece. A conditioning solution is applied to roughen the teeth and ensure that the resin will bond to your tooth. Then we apply the bonding material, sculpt and contour it into the proper shape, and then harden it with a harmless, high-intensity light. Ltal ha astly, we smooth and polish your new bonded teeth.

Bonding is a comfortable procedure that can provide dramatic results in a relatively short amount of time.
